The
MetroWest Medical Center was diagnosed with
a serious problem. Though they had a large number
of excellent physicians in several suburban
campuses, the prestige of nearby Boston hospitals
was drawing patients out of the burbs and away
from MetroWest. Apparently, most people in the
area had no idea there were so many outstanding
specialists right in their own backyards, so
it was decided a corrective campaign should
be launched as soon as possible. I suggested
simplicity would work best, and created a visual
and a line that everyone could instantly relate
to. Fortunately, they were able to get an amazingly
relevant 800 number, and within days of ads
appearing and billboards going up, the phones
were ringing almost non-stop. Dare I say it?
